| Carole Nash triumphs at Winning Womens Awards
Carole Nash, Executive Chairman of Altrincham-based
Carole Nash Insurance Consultants, was praised as a "truly
inspirational business woman" by organisers of the Winning
Women 2004 Awards, when they presented her with their prestigious
business trophy.
The awards are designed to recognise women from the North
West who have excelled in three walks of life - business,
community and sport.
"The aim is to recognise the achievements
of women in our region and highlight the vast spectrum of
talent, commitment and hard work," explained awards founder
Jacqueline Hughes Lundy.
Mrs Nash received her award from ITN newscaster, John Suchet
at a presentation luncheon hosted by Granada Television anchorman,
So Rahman at Manchester's Palace Hotel. As well as a commemorative
glass trophy Mrs Nash won £250 for charity and £250
for herself. She donated both to the Rainmakers Foundation,
a Greater Manchester charity which aims to enable women in
the region to reach and fulfil their personal potential and
supports individuals and voluntary and community groups.
The Winning Women trophy is the latest in a line of awards
presented to Carole and her company within the last 12 months.
At the 2003 British Insurance Awards the company was named
the UK's Personal Lines Broker of the Year and also took its
Training Award, whilst last November, Mrs Nash was cited as
the most inspirational woman running a business aged over
50, at the national everywoman awards.
