| Born and bred bikers boost Carole Nash Dealer support
Carole Nash has boosted its dealer support operation by recruiting
two born and bred bikers as field representatives who will
tour the nation’s bike dealerships!
Jason Fieldsend will be a familiar face to many dealers as
prior to joining Carole Nash he spent five years on Motorcycle
News’ northern advertising team. R6-riding Jason, who
will serve dealers in the East from Cambridge up to northern
Scotland, has biker blood racing through his veins. “I’ve
been road riding ever since I was 16 but have been riding
motocross and trails since I was eight,” he explained.
“I’ve been really into off roading and super moto
these past three years but have also really got back into
road riding again.”
Naturally enough then, Jason is enthused about Carole Nash’s
new off road policy which he says will plug a gaping hole
in the market. “People, particularly serious off-roaders,
have been crying out for this. It’s going to be huge.”
That’s good news for dealers who can earn £10
for each referral which generates a sale of the new policy
which costs from just £99. Offering fire and theft cover
for motocross bikes, including children’s models, plus
sport, leisure, utility and junior quads. The policy also
provides instant cover for fire and theft at home, on a professionally
organised race track or practice ground, or whilst in transit,
with up to £250 worth of replacement tools also insured.
Discounts are offered if bikes are fitted with insurance-approved
security devices, such as Datatag and heavy duty locks and
chains.
Carole Nash’s new rep for the West, Barry Wharmby,
is equally enthusiastic having just discovered the delights
of off-roading. “I’ve just done an off road trip
to Spain,” he confirmed. “It was a proper trials
tour and the first time I’ve been off road. It was absolutely
amazing, I loved it.”
Barry, who’s been a biker for a 11 years - since he
was 18 – currently rides a Kawasaki ZX7R and is happy
as a man called Larry to have landed a job in biking. “The
main reason I went for this job is to be happy and I’m
at my happiest when motorcycling,” he said adding that
his passion for biking was a crucial aspect of his CV. “It
makes a massive difference. As a biker you know what the issues
are and dealers respect and respond to that understanding.”
Recruitment of the dynamic duo comes as Carole Nash’s
dealer operation continues its success story. Having taken
British Dealer News’ Marketing Campaign of the Year
in January it has expanded and enhanced its Commercial Lines
department. This now offers a wide range of motor trade policies
which exploit the company’s extensive motorcycling industry
expertise and the impressive purchasing power it exerts as
one of the nation’s biggest insurance intermediaries.
These include professional indemnity, defective workmanship,
property, demonstration vehicles and public and employer’s
liability. Aside from excellent levels of tailored protection
these policies offer dealers the chance to earn 50 per cent
more from successfully converted referrals with the standard
fee upped from £20 to £30.
